LPG Cylinder New Price 2024: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on International Women’s Day has announced the LPG cylinder new price that there will be a reduction of Rs 100 in the LPG price. There is an announcement by PM Modi that there will be a Rs 100 cut in the prices of LPG cylinders and this has been set to benefit nearly 33 crore households. LPG Cylinder New Price 2024

So, this is a government’s extension of a Rs 300 subsidy per LPG cylinder for impoverished women, which is a measure implemented in October last year and has been set to continue until the date March 31. Ahead of five state elections in the year 2023, the Modi government will be reducing the LPG price by Rs 200, and this will certainly present it as a gift for all the women before Raksha Bandhan.

All the beneficiaries who are covered under the PM Ujjwala Yojana scheme will also get benefits. A 14.2 kg LPG cylinder until the date of August 2023, in the national capital will be costing Rs 1,103; after the price cut, there will be a drop in the rate to Rs 903 for the domestic gas. “This will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefiting our Nari Shakti. By making cooking gas more affordable, we also aim to support the well-being of families and ensure a healthier environment,” Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said on X, adding that the announcement was being made on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Central Government’s Nod for Subsidy

The Union Cabinet On Thursday approved the continuation of the targeted subsidy of Rs 300 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year for the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) during the financial year 2024-25. There were more than 10.27 crore PMUY beneficiaries as of March 1, 2024. A total expenditure of Rs 12,000 crore for 2024-25 will be incurred by the government.
