Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana: During the Budget speech, there was an announcement made by Delhi Finance Minister Atishi Singh in which it was declared that the scheme provides a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000 for every woman who is living in the National Capital. This scheme has been termed by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as the ‘world’s biggest step towards women empowerment.’ It was also announced by Kejriwal that after the Lok Sabha Elections this scheme will come into force.

It is a question of whether every woman is eligible for the Rs 1,000 honorarium. If it is not so, then what are the rules that were mandated by the government, the announcement of which was made by Atishi?
Every woman who is eligible under this scheme must avail the benefits as this scheme will certainly make them financially strong.
Mukhya mantri mahila samman yojana Eligibility
- All those women candidates who are covered under the income tax criteria are not eligible for the scheme. But if a woman has a pay package that does not come under the income tax criteria are eligible for a Rs 1,000 honorarium.
- If a woman candidate has a government job then they are not eligible for this type of scheme.
- If a woman is a beneficiary of any type of pension which is covered under the Centre or state scheme are not eligible for this scheme.
- All those woman candidates who are attending school/colleges are eligible for Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.
- If there is no source of income like a pension then in this case any housewife can avail of this scheme.
- Rs 2,000 crore budget has been allotted by the Finance Minister Atishi.
- If any woman has a non-taxable income as a part of this scheme then this would benefit the women workers in an unorganised sector.
Documents required for Mukhya mantri mahila samman yojana
It is expected that all the applicants are required to furnish their mobile phone, Aadhaar Card and other necessary documents as specified by the Delhi government for qualifying for this scheme.

As told before the beneficiary amount is Rs.1000 for every women candidate covered under this scheme.

All the women candidates have to visit https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/ website. Then Under Citizen Corner click on New User Click on Select the document – Aadhar or Voter ID. After that Enter your Voter ID Card Number / Aadhar Card Number. The Captcha should be typed in the box shown. For registration, the Citizen Registration Form will be opened.
